Jaco got an overall silver for Team GB at the Newport International this weekend. Louis Rolfe, Jaco and Jon Gildea pushed world champions Spain hard but had to settle for silver, exactly one second slower than the world record holder’s time of 51.896 seconds. A great result for Team GB. Jaco also managed to get personal bests in all of his races, a fantastic achievement.

Jaco has been selected for the British Cycling Paralympic Academy, an amazing achievement and is the next step on his journey to Rio 2016.

Jaco van Gass won double gold in the Invictus Games. He competed in both the Time Trial and the Circuit Race.
Mr van Gass said: “I was confident before the races but you can never know for sure."
“When we did the GB trials I was among the fastest but I was concerned about the other countries because I had no idea how good they were.
“I didn’t sleep much the night before as I was very nervous but the races went well. It means a hell of a lot to get two golds. I’ve had a bit of a rocky year this year — I’ve suffered a lot of injuries and I really wanted a good result. Now I’m very happy.”

Roseville Brand Ambassador, Jaco Van Gass, gets second place in RTTC TT Series Rd 2 (Stafford RC) 23 (Paracyclists). Jaco is on his road to Rio 2016, and is back to full on training this week after a rest week last week.
